Brian,
This was a stellar example of what submitting for Preliminary Review and preparing the building permit submittal appropriately can do.
I was unable to perform the preliminary review in August as you know with all the other priorities given to grading permits and building permits that were submitted. However, we got information we needed from the site visit and a cursory review of the plans, relayed this information to you and Karen and you responded with doing your part.
This wasn't an easy site - there are 30% slopes, easement issues, wetlands downhill, and we identified them all to the right parties so the plans were designed well, BMPs installed and inspections done quickly. You submitted the plans to avoide the easement, supplied a copy of the easement, a copy of the lighting cut sheet, height calculations and all the appropriate submittal requirements.
Robert noticed me to approve the building permit in our database, it was on my workspace first thing this morning and I signed on your buiding permit this morning.
You got a grading permit in 2 days and our approval on the building permit in 3 days!!!
Well done!! Pass this on to the Builder's Association - the Building Permit/grading permit application process can work efficiently. Thank you!
Kind Regards,
Summit County Engineering Department
