  • "We wanted an open design, not the typical mountain home. I sketched everything out and was referred to Brian Wray by Rocky Mountain Log Homes. We chose Mountain Log Homes because we had seen another home they had built. Brian sent my sketches to Rocky. They sent us more formal plans that showed basically what we had done. We made more changes, and then they sent us the engineered plans. When asked what they would do differently if they did it again "Probably nothing. It's a dream house."

Her efforts resulted in a significant modernization of our circa 1985 home that featured adobe tile floors and counter tops, poorly designed cabinets, wasted space and poor sightlines. She also successfully suggested modern lighting and window treatments for the living room. We were pleased with her recommendations for design, color schemes, appliances, furniture, floor tile, window coverings, etc. The project was completed within the quoted budget and was completed within the timeframe projected at the start"

She is very insightful with her decorating because she really gets to know you and your family and utilizes this information to help formulate the decorating style and functionality of the home. She spent a lot of time getting to know us and was not only very particular in regard to the style of furnishings but also made sure the furniture would be comfortable for us all the way down to the height and depth of the chairs and couches which is important since we are short and not all furniture is comfortable for us. She was very cognizant of our budget and kept the project well within the guidelines we requested. She is amazingly organized and was able to put together an entire house of furnishings from furniture and window coverings all the way down to silverware and place settings. I cannot say enough good things about Karen and Mountain Log Homes and Interiors. She made our dream log home in Colorado a truly amazing place for us to share with our family and friends"

She was recommended to us by our real estate agent and we are thrilled with everything she did for us. I had 3 long-distance telephone calls with Karen to describe what we were looking when we hired her to renovate our Breckenridge ski-in, ski-out condo. (We are very busy and we weren't able to travel meet in person to discuss). We put our faith in her and she completely blew us away. We couldn't believe how perfectly she selected everything - especially the colors. Karen transformed our condo from "dated, tacky and disjointed" to "warm, cozy and contemporary."
